People’s Review of SDG 6 | Water and Sanitation: Goal and Right

Water for the People Network together with the SUKI Network and the WATER System Employees Response – WATER and Water Is Life Network held a forum themed People’s Review of SDG 6 – “Water and Sanitation: Goal and Right” last July 12, 2021.

The forum assessed the Philippines’ progress in implementing SDG 6 and discuss the state of water and sanitation in the country. This is part of the 2021 forum series of the people’s review of the sustainable development goals themed “Rising above the health and economic crisis in the time of COVID-19” organized by the Council for People’s Development and Governance through the PH Civil Society SDG Watch and in cooperation with member organizations and their networks.

Speakers included Agham Secretary-General Feny Cosico, National Economic and Development Authority Assistant Secretary Roderick Planta, SUKI Network Convener Atty. Neri Colmenares, TFIP’s Tyrone Beyer, Kadamay’s Eufemiapet Doringo, Bantay Konsyumer, Kalsada, Kuryente’s Prof. Louie Checa Montemar, SIBAT Inc’s Estrella Catarata, and SUKI/ Water for the People Network’s Spokesperson Prof. Reginald Vallejos.
