TODAY (Feb. 5, 2025): The Council for People’s Development and Governance (CPDG) and the Defend NGOs Alliance held their side event entitled, “Knowledge Sharing on the Role of Open Government in Protecting HRDs” at the UP College of Law, BGC, Taguig City.
The side event included inputs from civil society organizations, local government units, government institutions, foreign delegates and the UN—discussing the state of civic spaces under the Marcos Jr. government and recommending policy reforms for strengthening and enabling civic spaces.
The event concluded with a silent protest action with the participants, to raise awareness on the increase of judicial attacks on NGOs and to call for a stop on attacks to development workers.
