WATCH: CPDG National Coordinator Maria Jennifer Guste delivered a speech at the National and Global Day of Action against Terror Laws on July 3. She highlighted the documented abuses under the Anti-Terror Act and Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act, which have led to numerous human rights violations and the deprivation of communities of basic services.
Guste emphasized that it is high time for the terror laws to be reviewed and investigated for abuse and misuse; and, for the legislation of the Human Rights Defenders Protection Law.
