[#CourageON] From preparation to monitoring: What Filipinos can do to watch the budget

September 14, 2021

Dear Friends,

Following the release of the Commission on Audit’s reports flagging numerous pandemic expenses and “deficiencies,” the 2022 National Budget has all the more become an important national concern everyone of us should take an active role in. With the debates in Congress on the 2022 National Budget already ongoing, this is a good time to discuss how all of us can take an active role in asserting how the national budget should be allocated to truly benefit the people’s urgent needs; and for the economy to truly recover from the health and economic crisis aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

That being said, the Council for People’s Development and Governance (CPDG) joins Rappler in inviting you to join the community show “#CourageON: Tumindig, makialam, kumilos” on September 18, 2021 at 4PM. The show will tackle what we can do to be heard in the 2022 National Budget deliberations in Congress, as well as the ways we can help keep watch on the budget and influence policy decisions.
